Zurich UK leveraged on the power of Mendix’s low-code platform in order to promote new modernised ways for life insurance adoption in UK’s markets. By creating their FaceQuote App with Mendix, Zurich was able to provide prospective life insurance customers with a rough estimate of how much a premium life insurance package would cost them. Zurich’s Mendix-made FaceQuote App, which uses image processing intelligence, requires users to submit a selfie of themselves in order to present them with an educated estimate of their age with just one click so that they would be able to receive an instantaneous idea of which Zurich monthly premium life insurance package suits them the most.
Over the course of two weeks, Zurich’s development team which comprised of just two developers built the app in an Agile manner within the first seven days itself. “Mendix’s technology has a huge role to play in allowing us to connect with a wider audience and give more people confidence in making financial decisions,” says Chris Atkinson, Head of Consumer Distribution at Zurich UK.
